Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Sunset Developments Real Estate S.L. (“we”) collects and uses personal data through sunsetdevelopments.es, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Data Protection and Digital Rights (LOPDGDD).

1. Who is responsible for your data

• Website: sunsetdevelopments.es
• Trading name: Sunset Developments
• Company name: Sunset Developments Real Estate S.L.
• Address: Cartagena
• E-mail: hola@sunsetdevelopments.es
• Telephone: +34 711 052 083

You can contact us about anything in this policy, including exercising the rights described below, at hola@sunsetdevelopments.es.

2. What we collect

We only collect what you give us, and what we need in order to help you.

• Enquiry details — your name, e-mail address, telephone number and the content of your message, when you complete a form on this website, save a property, subscribe to alerts, or contact us through a social media advertisement or messaging channel.
• Search preferences — the locations, property types, budget and features you tell us about, so we can send you relevant properties instead of everything we list.
• Technical data — pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device type. See our Cookie Policy for detail.

3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis

• To answer your enquiry and provide our services — necessary for the performance of a contract or to take steps at your request prior to one (GDPR art. 6.1.b).
• To send you properties matching your stated criteria — your consent (art. 6.1.a), which you may withdraw at any time.
• To meet our legal obligations, including tax, accounting and anti-money-laundering duties applicable to property transactions (art. 6.1.c).
• To improve the website and understand how it is used — our legitimate interest in operating an effective service (art. 6.1.f), balanced against your rights and limited to non-intrusive analysis.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data, and we never share it for third-party marketing. We do share it where it is necessary to serve you:

• Our service providers — including our customer relationship management system, e-mail delivery, and website hosting. These act as processors on our documented instructions under GDPR art. 28.
• Professionals involved in a transaction you have asked us to progress, such as lawyers, notaries, surveyors or mortgage brokers.
• Property owners, developers or collaborating agencies, where you have asked us to arrange a viewing or register your interest in a specific property.
• Public authorities, where we are legally required to do so.

5. International transfers

Our providers are located in the European Economic Area wherever possible. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, it is protected by an adequacy decision of the European Commission or by Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for as long as you remain an active contact, and for a maximum of three years after our last meaningful contact with you, unless you ask us to erase it sooner. Where a transaction completes, records connected to it are kept for the periods required by tax and anti-money-laundering law.

7. Your rights

You may request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of or objection to its processing, and portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

Write to hola@sunsetdevelopments.es to exercise any of these rights. If you believe we have not handled your data properly you may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, www.aepd.es).

8. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Access is limited to those members of our team who need it to do their work.

9. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or the law. The current version is always the one published on sunsetdevelopments.es.
